ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) are small works of art created at a size of 2 ½ X 3 ½ inch or 64 X 89 mm and usually on card stock. They can be original works, limited editions or multiples and should be self-produced. The size requirement is so that the cards can fit inside a trading card sleeve.

The medium used varies and is only limited by your imagination. They can be painted, collage work, digital prints and embellished with rubberstamps, artistamps, fabric and found images. They can produced as two-dimensional or 3D artworks.

They are traded by mail or in person (usually at trade sessions around the globe). Artists may initiate swaps or contact individuals whose work they want to collect and trade.

A complete card may contain, on the back of the card, a signature, title, contact information, date and edition number (if applicable).
